What To Expect

01

Before Your Visit

Please complete the Intake Form you received by email when you first scheduled your appointment.  This helps make the first visit more efficient.  Thanks!

03

Where Is The Clinic?

A map to the clinic is found below.  There is free parking at the rear of the building.  Please enter the rear door, pass through the stairwell to the main hall, and the office is on your left.

05

How Long Are Visits?

The first visit is about an hour and includes a treatment if time permits.  Followup visits are 15-20 minutes.

07

My First Visit

Dr. Hooper will start by asking you a number of questions to gather clinically relevant information.  He will perform some tests which vary depending what you are struggling with.  Tests may include assessing the movement of your joints, palpation (or feeling) for muscle tenderness or tightness, neurological testing (strength, reflexes, and sensation), as well as orthopaedic tests of your joints.

02

What Should I Wear?

Loose comfortable clothing is best when you come for your appointments.

04

Reception

Dr. Hooper does not have a receptionist.  Please take a seat in the waiting area and he will be with you very soon. Dr. Hooper strives hard to stay on time.

06

What About X-Rays?

Dr. Hooper will help determine if x-rays are medically necessary.  If you do need x-rays, Dr. Hooper can provide you a script and the x-rays can be taken at the medical centre in Port Perry.

06

What If I'm Nervous

Dr. Hooper's role is to provide you with information and options.  You are in control and you decide what treatments you are comfortable with.  Dr. Hooper will not pressure you into any treatments that you are not comfortable with.

The doctor of the future will give no medicine but will interest the patient in the care of the human frame, in diet, and in the cause and prevention of disease.
